Queen City Brass Band
Queen City Brass Band (QCBB), was established in 1992. The band is a community based organization that promotes music in a traditional British brass band style and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. QCBB is entirely made up of amateur players from the region. The brass band movement grew up from the industrial revolution in Great Britain and consists entirely of brass instruments with a percussion section. Sections within a band include cornets, horns, baritones, trombones, euphonium's, tubas and percussion – all skillfully lead by musical director or conductor. The format lends itself to a wide range of music from Musicals to Marches, Mozart to Mortimer, Carols to The Classics.
Queen City Brass Band (QCBB) performs for various community and private events. Repertoire consist of marches, hymns, original works for brass band, classical transcriptions, jazz, show tunes, movie scores and more. We are a 501C registered non profit organization and play local regular concerts around the region often for charity or as a fund raiser.
Queen City Brass Band (QCBB) can be perfect musical entertainment for events such as weddings and festivals. We do this for a fee to raise funds to help finance new music and instrument upkeep.
